To those who feel like they don’t belong: there is beauty in being a misfit. Author Lidia Yuknavitch shares her own wayward journey in an intimate recollection of patchwork stories about loss, shame and the slow process of self-acceptance. “Even at the moment of your failure, you are beautiful,” she says. “You don’t know it yet, but you have the ability to reinvent yourself endlessly. That’s your beauty.”

We all struggle with stress. Sure some of us struggle with it more then others but one thing we can all probably agree on is that we need to understand stress better. Kelly McGonigal tries to make us believe that stress can actually be good for us. Although I think I actually agree with what she is saying in this TED Talk I still wish I could find a way to eliminate it.

I have always believed that this was in my DNA. It looks like I was pretty close to the truth. What I did not realize it that people like me actually have a “Panic Monster” to thank for the way we handle the things we do.
