Arrest made in fatal shooting of LA Taco Bell worker

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested a man in connection to the fatal shooting of a Taco Bell worker during a feud over a fake $20 bill over the weekend, a report said.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore announced the bust during a Tuesday night vigil for the victim, Alejandro Garcia – a 41-year-old father who was gunned down while working with his son at the fast food restaurant on Saturday night, Fox 11 reported.

The suspect is being held on $2 million bail. Police were expected to release more information about the arrest overnight Tuesday.

Garcia was shot after his son got into an argument with two men ordering from the drive-thru who tried to pay with a fake bill, relatives had told KABC.

During the argument, one of the men started shooting, according to the report.

Garcia’s son tried to close the drive-thru window to stop the bullets, but at least one of them made it inside and struck his father in the torso.

Relatives said Garcia worked one night a week at Taco Bell to help earn extra cash for his family.

The father leaves behind three children.
