Australian cricketer Shane Warne has died, aged 52, of a suspected heart attack.
The cricket legend was found dead in his villa in Koh Samui, Thailand early Saturday morning local time, Fox Sports reported.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” a statement from Warne’s management said.
“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
Warne, who was affectionally known as “Warnie”, was the greatest leg-spinner of all-time.
His international career spanned 15 years and saw him take 708 Test wickets.
He is survived by his three children with his ex-wife Simone Callahan.
