The brother of former NFL player Aqib Talib surrendered to Texas cops Monday in connection to the shooting death of youth football coach.
Yaqub Salik Talib, 39, turned himself in after a murder warrant was issued for his arrest over Saturday’s fatal shooting in the Dallas-area city of Lancaster, CNN reported.
Talib is accused of opening fire after a spat between opposing coaches and officiating crew turned physical, police said.
The slain victim was identified as Michael Hickmon — a grandfather and father of three.
“The altercation became physical, leading to the suspect pulling out a firearm and shooting Mr Hickmon multiple times,” the police said.
“After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle, taking the firearm with him.”
