A 93-year-old Florida woman was found stuffed in her freezer last week and cops are questioning her 64-year-old daughter in the case, officials said.
Sebastian police said that neighbors grew concerned about Marie Hoskins after not seeing her for several days.
Officers went to her address for a welfare check but no one answered the door despite several attempts.
A relative then provided cops with a key to the home and they were able to gain access, cops said.
Inside, they found the woman’s 64-year-old daughter who said she had not seen her mother for an extended period.
Unsatisfied by her answer, police then searched the home and found Hoskins in a garage freezer.
The daughter voluntarily went into a local police station for questioning but has not been charged, according to local officials.
Hoskins was removed from the freezer and relatives made an official identification.
Detectives are actively working with the Medical Examiner and the State Attorney’s Office on this case as it is still active at this time.
