Two women were shot dead at a factory outside of Indianapolis on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m. during a shift change at the parking lot of N.H.K. Seating of America factory, Clinton County Sheriff Rich Kelly said in a press conference Wednesday evening.
A male suspect allegedly shot and killed the two women before leading police on a “short pursuit” that ended when the suspect crashed the vehicle in Frankfurt City.
The suspect was not injured in the crash, and was subsequently taken into custody and detained at the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Kelly said.
The sheriff confirmed that all three involved were coworkers at the N.H.K. factory, but their relationship is unknown at this time.
The sheriff said more information will become available once the families of the deceased are notified.
