An argument that escalated into gunfire left a man dead on the floor of a casino in Biloxi, Miss., early Saturday morning.
Police charged a Mobile, Ala., caught with a gun blocks away from the Golden Nugget Biloxi, with first-degree murder, according to multiple reports.
Cops said the incident began with an argument on the gaming floor, then got physical outside the casino, local station WLOX reported. The victim went back inside, but police said Jereme Lamond Jones, 30, followed him and fired multiple shots at close range, then ran.
The victim, a 41-year-old from Gulfport, Miss., who was not yet identified, had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene at about 1 a.m.
Jones was arrested near the Biloxi Bay Bridge, which is a short distance from the waterfront casino. He was armed with a handgun when he was nabbed, Fox 10 reported.
Police said it is unknown if Jones and the victim knew each other or what led up to the argument.
