A 35-year-old man was struck by a stray bullet while sleeping in a New Jersey apartment early Monday morning, a report said.
The shooting that wounded the man erupted outside the building at about 12:15 a.m. on East 23rd Street and Park Avenue in Paterson, police told WABC.
The apartment building and three cars were also hit by bullets, the report said.
The man was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
A mother who lives on the street told the news station she’s ready to leave the neighborhood following the latest round of gun violence.
“I just want to move out, because I have four kids here and I just get nervous with my kids,” she said. “This is not the first time.”
No arrests were immediately made in the shooting, according to the report.
