The royal family is about to get even bigger!
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second child, Buckingham Palace announced Tuesday.
The pair, who are already parents to nearly-2-year-old son August, will welcome their new arrival in the summer.
“Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer,” the palace said in a statement.
“The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.”
Announcing the news on her own Instagram account, Eugenie posted a snap of her son kissing her belly.
“We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” she captioned the snap.
The baby will be 13th in line to the British throne and the third grandchild of Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
In addition to August, Prince Andrew and Ferguson are also grandparents to Princess Beatrice’s young daughter Sienna, who was born in September 2021.
Eugenie, 32, welcomed her first child with her husband Jack, 36, in February 2021. The pair tied the knot in October 2018, 9 months after Jack popped the question.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021,” the palace’s official statement read at the time. “The baby weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz.”
The princess included a subtle tribute to her late grandfather, Prince Philip, in her son’s full name: August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
