Shocking video shows a surfer toppled by a terrifying monster wave — then crushed by several others as he screams for help.
The unidentified daredevil filmed himself getting towed to a big wave — with his camera following him under the water as the wave proves too big to handle, according to the clip shared on TikTok.
“Woah! Hey!” he screams in the middle of creamy white sea foam, with a look of panic as he searches for help.
Within seconds, he is thrust underwater again by another big wave — a pattern that repeats itself at least two more times in the 2 1/2 minute clip shared by @thatwastooclose.
“Oh f–k!” he says as someone on a jet ski finally arrives to pull him to safety.
“This was definitely a close call,” says a voiceover on the clip that has been seen nearly 665,000 times by Tuesday afternoon.
“He almost filmed his [own] death,” one person commented, while another said that “99.999999999% of the population would not survive this.”
“Ran out of breath just by watching,” someone else wrote, with shocked-face emojis, while another joked about it had made them take surfing off their bucket list.
“I’m no expert, but aren’t you supposed to stay on TOP of the water,” another commentator quipped of the scary experience.
