Suspected Pulse nightclub memorial vandal Mark Anthony Henson arrested

A man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly setting fire to an Orlando memorial for the 49 victims killed in the Pulse nightclub massacre, a report said.

Mark Anthony Henson, 64, was charged with criminal mischief over the Oct. 12 blaze that destroyed three banners affixed to the memorial wall, ClickOrlando reported, citing fire officials.

The vandalism was first reported publicly by onePulse Foundation, the organization that runs the memorial.

Video of the crime provided by the organization showed a vandal in a wheelchair light part of the memorial ablaze.

The wall also displays photos, messages and flowers.

Gunman Omar Mateen opened fire at the LGBTQ club on June 12, 2016 and killed nearly 50 clubgoers amid a three-hour standoff with law enforcement.

Mateen, who had claimed allegiance to an Islamic State leader, was killed by SWAT team members who responded to the shooting.
