Zac Stacy’s ex-girlfriend Kristin Evans has called for “several more charges” to be bought against the former New York Jet after he was arrested for allegedly attacking her in front of their 5-month-old son.
“Personally I feel the state should have several more charges, but thank you to everyone who made this possible!!! We are halfway there,” Evans wrote in an Instagram post.
“CONVICTION & SENTENCING NEXT!” she added.
The 30-year-old was arrested in Florida late Thursday on charges of aggravated battery and criminal mischief over the vicious caught-on-camera attack of Evans at her home on Saturday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s office.
Stacy allegedly flew into a fit of rage after arriving at Evans’ home to visit their son.
Evans also posted an image on her Instagram stories depicting the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with the quote: “If you are neutral in situations of injustice you have chosen to side with the oppressors.”
Another quote posted by the mom read, “How you respond to something says more about you than it does about them.”
Meanwhile, Evans also launched a GoFundMe account to “raise awareness for domestic violence victims and become an advocate.”
She wrote: “I want to encourage all men and women who have been a victim of domestic violence to reach out to your local domestic violence center for help and I would like to help provide better resources for them.”
As of early Friday, the drive raised $1,255 out of the $50,000 goal.
Police had said Stacy fled the Sunshine State after his alleged attack, but he was arrested by Orlando police, records show. The former athlete is being held in Orange County Jail.
He “struck [her] on the right side of her head, and picked her up and threw her against the television, causing it to crack and fall over,” according to police.
“He continued yelling at her and striking her while she got up from the floor, and picked her up again and threw her into the baby’s bouncy chair,” according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Post.
“While she was still on the floor pleading for him to stop, he picked her up and body-slammed her onto a baby walker, causing the object to break,” the affidavit said.
In a restraining order, Evans claims Stacy had been abusing her since she became pregnant with his child last year, with the terrifying attacks escalating.
Evans said she previously filed a police report in October when Stacy allegedly slapped her while she was holding their son.
